Our day for participating in the ARTA Heart and Sole Wellness Walk is Thursday, June 4, 2026. Information regarding registration, where and when to meet, and the routes available is linked through the ERTA website. We hope you will plan to come out for some sunshine and camaraderie that afternoon!

| Tour of Blind Enthusiasm Brewery: June 25, 2026
Bring your friends and meet up with former colleagues to enjoy a tour and tasting at one of Canada’s most unique breweries! Blind Enthusiasm has a very interesting history in Edmonton, and has an inspiring presence in Edmonton’s new “Happy Beer Street”. This event includes a tour of this unique brewery and a guided tasting. With a limit of 12 participants this event is sure to sell out, so register early to ensure your spot! | Riverhawks Game: July 2, 2026
The Edmonton Riverhawks are offering a discount for ERTA members for the July 2, 2026 game at Remax Field. The theme for the evening is Foodie Night and Thirsty Thursday! Some of the local restaurant partners’ signature dishes will be highlighted, so come hungry! Members can use the code ERTA15 for discounted tickets in the silver and bronze senior sections. The silver sections are seats that fold down and have armrests while the bronze seats are a bleacher seat with a backing. Enjoy a relaxed and scenic driving experience through Edmonton’s rich history and natural beauty. This car rally is designed for fun, connection, and exploration—perfect for participants of all experience levels. It is open to ERTA members and their guests. Please note: A minimum requirement of 20 participants is necessary for the event to occur. The deadline for indicating an interest in this event is June 30, 2026. | ERTA Coffee Time!: September 8, 2026
Are you interested in joining other retired teachers for a coffee and morning snack? Square One Coffee (Windsor Park) is local friendly, provides great-tasting coffee and bakes their own treats and has a special mezzanine area that will be set aside for us. Come have fun with your friends and colleagues. Join in conversation, share memories, discuss current events, and foster connections. Join us for an afternoon of fun 5-pin bowling with friends and former colleagues at Plaza Bowling Co., a vintage bowling alley playing vintage music! This light-hearted afternoon will include at least two different bowling games and some light snacks. Come alone, bring a friend or spouse/partner, and have some laughs! On June 10, registration will open for ERTA’s Fall Luncheon. The luncheon features local Canadian author, Laurel Deedrick-Mayne, who will speak about the writing of her book “A Wake For The Dreamland” which is set in Edmonton, Alberta. You are welcome to read her book prior to the luncheon as Laurel will entertain questions after her presentation. The book is available to borrow from the Edmonton Public Library or for purchase at Audrey’s Books. The deadline for registering is September 17, 2026. | Painting Workshop 2026: September 28, 2026
Are you interested in learning to paint while having fun in the company of friends and colleagues? Any skill level is welcome! This workshop is a 4.5 hour “Creation Session” offered in collaboration with an award winning artist, designer and illustrator, Lorraine Shulba! Lorraine will guide us and provide instruction as we paint with acrylic on individual canvases. This workshop includes ALL materials and instruction PLUS wonderful snacks, beverages, prizes and more!
